Hosting a Pop-Up Art Exhibit
What do these pop up events look like?

The Event:
Generally, a Pop-Up Art Exhibit will last 2-4 hours. Guests can browse the art, read bios about each artist, and ask questions about the organization, all while enjoying light refreshments. Midway through the event, we gather the guests for a 15 minute presentation from Kayra (founding director of LWB) to explain our program and the refugee situation in Europe, culminating with a Q&A.
The Art:
We display 45-50 art pieces for guests to peruse and purchase. These pieces range in price from $35 - $500. Our collection includes two types of art:
First, we have art painted by refugee artists, including children, amateur artists, and professional artists. 100% of each sale goes directly to the artist.
Second, we have art pieces that have been donated to LWB by artists throughout our global community. Funds from these sales go directly to our core programs (usually, to provide emergency housing to refugees in especially vulnerable situations).
LWB and the event host will never take any commission from a sale.
Global Connections:
We like to take a photo of each buyer with their art piece to send to the refugee artist, so they can see who brought their piece home. Kayra can also arrange for buyers to virtually meet the artist (upon request).

Venue and Refreshments:
Please arrange the venue for the exhibition, along with refreshments for guests.
Guests:
Invite your community to attend! Publicize for the event however you see fit! (LWB will provide flyer templates).
Extras:
If possible, it helps if the host can bring 2-3 volunteers to help with set up.
Depending on the situation, we appreciate it if the host can provide one night of accommodation for Kayra (if traveling from out of town for the event).
